This is an important agreement. Please read it carefully before clicking “I Agree”. All 9/11 National Day of Service participants, including current Greater DC Cares volunteers, must sign this waiver.

I am spending the day as a volunteer for a community service organization in the Washington, DC area through Greater DC Cares. I understand that, as a volunteer, I may be involved in activities that have a potential risk of injury. I agree that I will only perform volunteer activities that I am comfortable doing, and that I am solely responsible for my safety.

I also agree that I will not hold Greater DC Cares, the community service organization I am supporting, and their employees, contractors, sponsors, officials, and volunteers, participating communities and clubs, and all government and public entities responsible for any injury to me or my property as a result of my participation in 9/11 National Day of Service. I agree to be responsible for my behavior and to indemnify and hold harmless Greater DC Cares, the community service organization I am supporting, their employees, contractors, sponsors, officials, and volunteers, participating communities and clubs, and all government and public entities from any damages or liabilities arising out of my activities as a volunteer in connection with 9/11 National Day of Service.

I understand that my name, photograph, voice or likeness may be used for any reason by Greater DC Cares and their sponsors. I consent to and authorize, in advance, such use, waive my rights of privacy I have in connection therewith and agree that such materials shall become the sole and exclusive property of Greater DC Cares and further agree to give up all rights, title, and interest in such property.

This release constitutes a complete release, discharge and waiver of any and all actions or causes of action against the entities and persons set forth above and the officers, agents, employees, and volunteers of those entities.

I have carefully read this Liability Waiver in its entirety, fully understand its contents and freely and voluntarily assume all risks and dangers inherent in participating in the activities of 9/11 National Day of Service. I am aware that this is a release of liability and I agree of my own free will.
